Not sure what you are referring to, but mathjax extension is already installed and works just fine out of the box. All I had to do on my sites was allow the roles to have access to the standard toolbar, then edit the standard toolbar to include mathjax. It works just fine on several sites running DNN 6.1.5 to 7.2.2
